Abha

Introduction

Abha is the capital city of Aseer Province in southwest Saudi Arabia, near the Red Sea. It's famous for the Aseer National Park's jagged mountains, which are home to wildlife, lush juniper woods, and the high Jabal Soodah peak.

The reconstructed mud-walled Shada Castle, now a handicrafts museum, is located in the middle of downtown Abha. The Al-Muftaha area is nearby and contains stone houses as well as a weekly market with crafts and curios.
