Asfar lake
Sahoud Palace's construction took place between 1790 and 1800. Because of a big cannon that was placed there, it was given the name Sahoud. The palace's magnificent, impregnable wall and seven circular watchtowers made it an imposing fortification against outside threats.
It is one of the Gulf region's largest natural water bodies and has been transformed into a nature reserve to include the surrounding wildlife, as desert flora surround the lake, trees cluster around it and fill the horizon, and the soft and pristine sands remain.
